Nearing the End…

Almost DoneI’ve been a bit remiss in updating this site for many reasons, but one big one has been that I’m not sure whether to continue with it or not. I’ve decided I will so plan on more content in the not-too-distant future.

Today, I just wanted to jump in here and give an update on the progress of Nom de Plume—An Extraordinary Life.

I am in the middle of a deep edit right now, but so close to the end I can practically taste it.

This is the incredibly tedious part of writing a novel. I won’t say I hate it, because it’s really where the fine-tuning comes in to play, making a book better. But… I can say it’s not fun. Really, tedious is not a strong enough description.

So… the cover is 90% complete, looking for some fine-tuning of its own, and the text, with only editing of 50% of the book left, I’d say it’s also 90% complete. Just know, the final 20% is usually the most difficult.

Finally, this novel is not as lengthy as my previous four, but it packs a lot in the odd 250 pages. I’m quite anxious to put it to bed so I can see how it reads for others.

Stay tuned…
