It’s hard to believe my latest novel, Dot in the Weeds is finally published and out there for the world to discover. But, it is. And, now, right on the heels of the elation comes what can best be described as The Published Novel Blues. Yes. You know, for all the months (and sometimes years) it takes to produce a novel, and then… with literally, the push of a button, it’s sent off to be published, and, like that… the creative process is over.
The kicked hornet’s nest really comes into play where I talk about readers who complain on Facebook and other readers’ outlets that these days they’re expected to write reviews and share posts and all kinds of other things other than just read a book. Can’t they just read a book and go on with their lives? Why should they be made to feel guilty and somehow responsible if they don’t participate in marketing the author?
This video is more of She’s Baaaaaaack! than anything. Sort of a primer for the videos to come, I suppose. And there are more videos to come. As I generally do, I made several episodes at one sitting. After doing that from the very beginning, I read recently that’s how you’re supposed to do it. Who knew? Apparently, I did!
